First all, nice to meet you all. This is one of the first time post here. I have found many valuable information. However, I have a strange screen problem with my x200s. The problem is there the screen would randomly give bad colors as shown:

However, there were times that if I move the screen, the screen go back to normal. What do you think is wrong with it?
I am thinking there is something wrong with the LCD cable. Thank you in advance!
Just to add, I believe the screen is CCFL, because it shows LEN4010 under device manager. I also plan to buy parts to fix it myself since it is out of warranty. Thanks!

That's most likely a bad LCD panel, not the cable.
Good luck.

Thank you for the quick reply. If I were to replace the panel, will the BOEHYDIS HV121WX4-110 fit this CCFL-blacklit x200s laptop? Do I need to purchase a new cable and a new inverter as well? Thanks!

Just to update. I have tried to replace the LCD with the AFFS screen. However, it is still showing the weird color with some dot in the middle of the screen. I am guessing the next step for me to replace would be the cable or inverter? Any suggestion? Thank you in advance!

Its most likely the cable then. A bad inverter can give the screen a faint pinkish/red hue, but not what you're describing.
Edit: might just be the board itself. That picture made me doubt my diagnosis...

I'll second this. A bad inverter will usually kill the backlight or make the screen red, and I don't think an actual LCD would fail like that, usually a line of pixels will die or something similar.
Maybe it's the cable, but it sounds like something might be wrong with the actual IGP on the board. I haven't seen a lot of issues like that, but I guess this is what it would probably look like.

Thank you so much for the reply! I just realize the cable is very costly, with over 40 USD for each. I am would like to make sure if trying any thing new at this point. If this is the board's problem, I am pretty much out of luck to fix it right since I know the CPU is solder into the mother board. Any way, Thank you so much for the help!
It seemed to me that the part 44C9909 and 44C5392 both look identical, but 44C5392 is much cheaper on ebay. Is it true that 44C5392 will also fit with the x200s? Also, according to the listing
here, the seller list the part as both 44C9909 and 44C5392. What do you guys think? Because I if I can get the 44C5392 for 23 USD while the 44C9909 is about 40 USD. Thank you!
These are the images of the two parts I found on eBay. Thank you guys so much for the help.

Update. I was able to borrow my friend's x200 to test the LCD cable. The same problem exist with BOTH panels. It seemed to go away if I move the cable in certain direction. It seems to me getting a new cable is the best option for me right now. Thank you guys for the input. I will update once I receive the new cable.

Well that's good you've been able to eliminate your board as the issue (I forgot to say that if you're able to output video to an external monitor, then you're probably good).
Since it seems to be the cable, does the cable look damaged or in any way different from your friend's cable? Is it possible there is something wrong with the area where it sits between the top lid and the screen that is somehow moving/damaging it?
Just brainstorming...

Thank you all for the suggestion! It looked the same as my friend and I don't see any physical damage to the cable. It seemed that the LCD connection is the one that is broken because it changes the display when I move that part. I am ordering the part 44C5392 because it is much cheaper and looked identical to the 44C9909 part. Thank you for the help!

Now, I have replaced the cable with a good cable, and everything is in working order now. However, the problem I have is that the laptop won't charge even when it is off. I tried with 2 different batteries(genuine IBM batteries) and chargers(genuine IBM 65W and 90W chargers). Neither will charge the battery. Also, when I am checking the "current" value under power manager, it shows that only 0.08 Amp is passing to the battery( Normally the amp shown in my t61 is around 2.5). Is this something that can be fix easily or I need to get a new mother board? Thank you in advance!

I assume the computer runs off battery? If so, I believe a micro-fuse may have been blown when changing the screen. I had something similar one time where I was changing an LCD and shorted something out. A USB port stopped working, at least thats all I found wrong.
A new motherboard may be the best bet, or if your skillful you can possibly replace/piggy back the blown fuse. IF you can even find it, they are surface mount and a pain to change

So the display problem is fixed, and a new issue has presented itself?
Did something get moved around? Try reinserting the power plug.

I tried replacing the power plug and even changing a new AC power jack, it seem the battery is still not able to charge. Something might be wrong with the battery contact but they looked intact to me. Anything else that might be causing this problem? Thank you for the help!
