x220 display port audio question

If I buy a display port to HDMI cable, (such as this
http://dx.com/p/gold-plated-displayport ... 1-8m-37066) and connect my X220 to my TV, will I get the audio or do I need to run a 2nd cable?
I think I'm seeing that some laptops need the extra cable & others don't & I don't want to bother buying the cable if it won't do the audio too.

I believe some of the early versions of the X200 would not do audio via displayport, but since they upgraded the X200, all newer versions of the X series should do audio via the DP.

I have an X220 and can confirm that it supports audio through the DisplayPort. Not all cables or adapters support audio though. My first DisplayPort to HDMI adapter from Amazon.com did not support audio - as I unfortunately found out after I bought it. Got a second DisplayPort to HDMI adapter from Monoprice that works fine.

I bought this cable from Amazon, which works fine with my X220 (with audio):

I am a little worried about the strain it can out on the port though, so I want to use Intel WiDi (Wireless Display) instead. I plan to get a Netgear Push2TV PTV3000, but they still have not released it in the UK for some reason. I've been waiting for a few months now.

I know what you mean about strain on the port. I was concerned about that too.
I am using the Netgear P2TV2000 with my X220. Note that you need to use version 15.x of the Intel Wireless software for WiDi to work.
