Hi guys,
just want to ask how "hot" is/can be the X220 4291 - Core i7 2.8 GHz, as I read in some forums, that laptops with i7 CPU are usually quite hot. cheers

Can run quite hot and noticeably noisy albeit in a quite room (more so than my C2D X200s - although that is understandable I suppose).
X220 : Premium HD : Core i7-2640M : 8GB : 256GB Samsung 850 Pro : WWAN : Intel AC7260 : Mini Dock Series 3 with USB 3.0 : ThinkPad USB keyboard : 2 x HP LP2475w : Win 10 64bit

X200s : WXGA (LED) : C2D SL9600 : 4GB : 256GB Samsung 830 : WWAN : Intel AC7260 : Broadcom Crystal HD : UltraBase : Win 10 64bit

So, better go for the i5 one or stick to i7, as I don't like it when too hot. what's the max. CPU temp that you have ever measured BTW?

It's got to high 90s when stress tested, however, never really a problem in normal use... just gets noisy for example when editing photos or other CPU intensive activity.
