How to start x200 with lid closed? (for use as HTPC)

I'd like to use my X200 as an HTPC with the lid always closed.
Is there a way to start the X200 with an IR remote control? (so the X200 can be off or in sleep mode when not being used)
I didn't see anything like "wake on IR remote signal" in the BIOS.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know a ton about HTPCs but here are my 2c.
The X200 has no IR receiver so there so no way to wake it using just that. As you saw in the BIOS you can wake it over LAN however.
A docking station will have its own power button you could use to turn the machine on without opening the lid. Otherwise the only solution I can think of would be putting the X200 to sleep, and using some sort of wireless input device to wake it up (ex a mouse).

BTW the lid should be always open when the unit is on for cooling purposes. That's what its designed to do.

The majority of the time I'm using my X200s while docked with the lid closed and I've never had a problem with heat. As long as you give the vents room to breath you'll be fine.

Thanks for the info and suggestions.
My current solution is place the x200 on an interior shelf, with the lid open flat at 180 degrees, and I reach in to press the power button to start it. Not perfect, but at least the x200 is out of the way with no cables exposed. After that all control is done with a wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, and IR remote control.

If you get the Ultrabase, you can close the lid as the Ultrabase has a power button to turn on the machine in lieu of the notebook's power button. But for ventilation purposes I don't think its a good idea.
