Adding Firewire to X220

I've searched this area of the forum, but I couldn't find any discussion on this:
I need to add Firewire to interface with a particular RME audio device. In the past (T40, T42, T43p), the best CardBus card to buy was one with a TI chipset.
Now, moving to ExpressCard, I need to find a similar add-in card. Are there any suggestions from folks here as to a brand or source for a reliable Firewire400 card?
I'd prefer to use an ExpressCard54, for the stability inside the X220 slot, but I'd use the smaller ExpressCard and get the little "stability wing" if I had to.
I have an i5 X220 and the docking station for it.
TIA,
Ira
