first, welcome to the forum..
and i'm a bit surprised you can actually reach us from where you are..

i guess the first question is why did the thinkpad crash while doing the bios update..?
did it lose power..??

as far as i know, if thats the case, there is no recovery..

i HOPE i am wrong..

If you haven’t already, visit the Lenovo BIOS forum at My Digital Life:

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thread ... y-Thinkpad

The first page has links to BIOS recovery tools. You might also make a post there and describe your problem.

Good luck.

Don't believe everything you read. Reminds me of what George Orwell said - "The British press is extremely centralized, and most of it is owned by wealthy men who have every motive to be dishonest on certain important topics."

I'm not sure where you are from but I would be surprised if this didn't apply equally well there. Incidently Orwell said this about 70 years ago - since then the press has become much more concentrated, in the hands of the few.

Dear my friend, it’s not as same as you think and press says about our government and people(internet filtering must for Unethical and Social Networking(Although the proxy (anti filter) is free for all ) ) .all countries have their own politics for governing their people as your government does it. Please just thinks some about china government, how you think about it.
Unfortunately our economy sanction from U.S.A and it’s align countries have made many problem for our people too. Anyway, these limitations can’t prevent us not to have good friendship relation with other peoples and nations.you and everyone ,can travel to iran
and see everything is ok. i invite you

So, I will be very glad if you or other friends can guide me to solve my laptop bios problem.

Have you tried this?

Just encountered this same issue when attempting to flash the most current BIOS on a client's T500. I removed the battery, palmrest and keyboard to get to the CMOS battery, which I unplugged for about 5 minutes. Plugged it back in, reassembled, and still was not booting. I held the power button down and it eventually brought up the Lenovo splash screen. I had to do this several times. It then went past that screen and stopped with a message telling me to reset the date. I was then able to enter BIOS setup and set the correct date and time. System then booted normally, although it appears I have to reinstall the nvidia graphics drivers.
