X200 - very slow wifi

Hi,

Have a problem with an X200 that is beginning to drive me around the bend...

I have an X300 and now also a X200 (for backup) that I use in my home office, this is the situation...

The X200:
Am hardly able to use it via the Wifi router at home, connection via LAN cable works just fine.
When I ping the router (via wifi), no problems, when you ping an external address (like Google), via url or IP-address, typically 2-3 (sometimes all) packets times out.
Took it over to a friends place, on that Wifi, no problems, works just fine.
All drivers are up to date from what I can see. Windows and Thinkvantage is updated.
Using Windows to connect instead of AC does not make any difference

Thought it could be the router but the X300 works just fine (via Wifi,cable,...) via that same router.

Some technical data...

Hypothesis:
There is some incompatibility between the specific brand of home router and the specific WiFi adapter in the X200.
Two suggestions to try:
1. Buy another router for home that is a different brand than the one you are now using; they cost about $20 these days.
2. Interchange the WiFi adapters in the X200 and the X300 to see whether the the problem persists, and whether it now affects the X200 or the X300.

Red, thank you for the suggestions!
Changing the router would probably do it (since it works fine in other places), unfortunately in Spain you're stuck with router that the ISP provides :? (caused some serious issus with my VOIP phone....)
However.... It seems like I found a work-around/solution, changed the encryption type to WPA2-PSK / AES
Seems to work for now performance when you ping is much better (maybe 1 package in 10 times out)

Holding my fingers crossed
