Greetings.
I recently came into a beautiful WXGA+ X200s, aiming to lighten my load.
I'm attempting to load Vista 64 SP1 from the Digital River sources:
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent.net ... -63453.exe
Unfortunately, I keep getting stuck. Installation reports:
"Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware".
I've changed the SATA bios setting to compatibility mode to no effect.
My understanding is that Vista already accommodates Advanced Format.
Is there something obvious I'm not considering?
Update: The trouble seems to be with the memory stick.
Substituting a new stick made the persistent trouble go away.
Who knew?
