[X200] Antenna removal for webcam installation ?

Hi,

I own a x200, model 7458V73. It came without a webcam, so I bought a kit on eBay in order to install a webcam.
I removed the bezel : there's an antenna where the webcam PCB fits. I believe this a MIMO antena (I have 6 antennas).

1) can I remove this antenna without loosing the WiFi functionnality, just lossing the Wifi with MIMO functionnality ? (I understand the 2 antennas on both extremities are 2 Wifi antennas)

2) can I remove the WWAN antenna, between the MIMO and the WiFi antenna, and replace it by the MIMO antenna ? How will that affect the WWAN/GPS performance (there will still be a WWAN/GPS antenna on the other side, and I just need GPS functionnality)

Any other option welcome !

Eya

Hmm, maybe there's a much better option :
3) replace the UWB antenna (left of where the webcam fits) by the MIMO antenna. That would require lengthening the MIMO antenna cable (little bit of soldering).
I don't have any UWB peripheral (I understand this standard doesn't have a bright future ahead...).

Any toughts about this ?

I don't know if you have your antennas identified correctly. There is no WAN antenna between MIMO and WiFi -- WAN antennas are on the far left and far right. Here are the antennas:

From left to right:
a Wireless WAN antenna, AUX (blue)
b Wireless LAN antenna, AUX (black)
c Wireless USB antenna (yellow)
d MIMO antenna (white)
e Wireless LAN antenna, MAIN (gray)
f Wireless WAN antenna, MAIN (red)

You are correct, I mistook WWAN antennas for WLAN antennas, according to X200 hardware maintenance manual. In the Fourth Edition (December 2008), the colors are the same that those you state, but do not correspond to what I found after removing the bezel (I had grey, white, black ; no yeloow, red or blue)
