x200 tablet mode problems, possible driver issues

I've been trying to get my x200 tablet to work with windows 7 ultimate. I've been trying many different driver installation methods and I can't get the tablet features to work at all. This includes tablet buttons and auto rotate.

I've tried:
Clean installing>windows update>thinkvantage v5.02
Clean install>thinkvantage v5.02
Clean install>Individual driver install

NONE of these things enables tablet mode. My guess is that the laptop doesn't register it's being swiveled and closed. It worked a few times but never the orientation I selected in tablet control utility. Should I try a different OS, driver method? I need some help!
