Hello, I'm sorry if it was discussed here allready, but I have a problem.
In past I used T61 with dock station and 2 Samsung monitors, 1 connected to DVI-D , second thorough VGA.
now I got brand new X230 and ultrabase series 3. I have successfully connected 1 monitor with VGA, and got some adapter for display port on my dock station, which I connected to DVI cable. But it is not work :( My question: is this original Lenovo adapter will help me to solve it? http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/itemdetail ... #learnMore
thank you in advance
BR Maksim

the DP on the Dock is not DP++ compatible, so it doesn't work with passive DP to DVI-D converter. Also if you have something connected to the DVI-D port on the dock, the DP won't work. You can get either the DP or DVI to work.

thank you very much for your answer. But unfortunately not so easy to understand for me..
On dock (P/N 0B67692) I don't have DVI-D port, only 1 pc VGA and 1 pc display port (which is marked DP++)
So can you confirm that no chance to use 2 displays in this case?

Oh yes i just notice that you have Ultrabase Series 3 and not the dock.

Is your internal LCD on when you are trying to get the second external monitor working through DP to DVI-D converter? Is your laptop detecting the second display that is connected to the DP to DVI-D port?

I tried both options: closed and opened internal LCD - same result - external monitor Samsung, connected to DP port using adapter and DVI-D cables (i tried 2 different) wasn´t detected. But also i have checked that Lenovo monitor, which has DP cable, worked OK with my X230 and ultrabase series 3 - it means that DP port is functional.
