hello all,

i am trying to update the bios from 3.11 to 3.22 (newest).
since there is no update for win 8, i think the update for win 7 should work to!? (especially the iso boot cd).
first i tried the win installer, it says there is one file for 32bit(...us.exe) and one for 64bit(...u6.exe). but there is only one file to download - the ...us.exe - that did`t work to install.

than i tried the iso, because i have no usb-cd drive, i made a bootable usb stick with yumi.
the iso shows up after booting from the stick, but "the file can not be found"...:(

any suggestions on how to update the bios without cd drive on a win 8 64bit machine?
(i am trying to get this update because of the new battery driver. it got a new non-lenovo battery that has less capacits than supposed, ofcourse this can be also a bad battery... but since there is a new bios battery driver out there... )

does anyone has experience with this new bios and (better) battery capacity?

thanks a lot!

The exe/iso file you downloaded is not OS dependent – flash is done at boot, before OS is loaded.

Creating a bootable disc from the .iso involves more than copying the iso file to a disc or flash drive.
To make a disc you need something like isoburn. For a flash drive, WinUSB Maker should work, although I’ve never used it for a BIOS flash, only OS installs.

On the page where you found the exe/iso file there should be a small link to another page that has BIOS update for doing within the OS.
TVSU should also offer the update you need.

i did not just copy it, "yumi" is also a tool to make bootable usb sticks...

i just red that there are sume issues with 3rd party batteries and bios 3.22, so i am "happy" it did not work...
