2nd HDD Caddy for X300

Greetings, people!
First of all i would like to thank this community for helping me to make up my mind regarding my notebook purchase.
After reading a couple of threads i was convinced to pickup secondhand x300.
Nowadays performance was not a priority when making a purchase.
I needed fast reliable notebook for browsing at home, downloading some media, transferring photos from camera directly to external HDD.
I'm finding a possibility now to use this notebook as my music library for network music player (Logitech squeezebox). I dont want to use external HDD for this case as with it the notebook will reduce its mobility in some way.
That's when I found 2nd caddy option when sacrificing DVDROM which I really dont need.
Let's move on to the issue and question.

1. Will i need additional adapters for this one to work or this caddy is already equipped with the right SATA/IDE adapter?
2. Which HDD would You recommend (manufacturer, model) to fit that 7mm and 2.5" limit? I dont need SSD here, HDD will work just fine;)
Thanks in advance!
