My X200 has developed a rhythmic stutter; roughly every two seconds there is a brief stutter that affects sound and motion on the screen. When I turn off the laptop and start it back up, it works fine for a while and then the stutter comes back after a variable amount of time. I can't quite place the exact time it started happening. I installed a new wireless antenna around the time it started but it seems unlikely to be the cause.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Stutter on X200
Re: Stutter on X200
Edit:
Well, after six months and and posting here 10 mins ago, I found the solution to the stutter problem. Disabling the ethernet port eliminates the stutter immediately.
Using DPC Latency checker and disabling hardware components one after one, the ethernet port (Intel 82567LM Gigabit Network) is the source of the stutter. I try to workout if there are older drivers which do not show the problem as I used the x200 for 3 years without the problem.

Hi there,
sorry for being a thread necromancer but I experience the same problem. At start up everything is fine but as I use the x200 around the day the stutter occurs quite frequently. It first showed up half a year ago with no change to the system.
Somebody knows what is up here?
My Sys:
x200
Intel C2D P8600 ~2,4 GHz
4 GB RAM
Crucial CT256MX100SSD1 SSD 256GB
Win 7 64bit - recent updates

Re: Stutter on X200
Maybe an update to Windows or the LAN drivers caused it.
I remember a similar stuttering issue with Windows 8 laptops-- my sister's work-issued HP Ultrabook was affected-- one cause was Windows 8 trying to check the link status of network cards even if they're disconnected. One of the solutions was to disable the LAN card in Device Manager, but apparently changing the driver (I don't know if it was an older or newer version) solved the problem.
