x230i x60 thinkpad power supply compatibility question

#1 Post by ylim » Sat Feb 01, 2014 9:40 am

Hi, I bought a x230i, and have a spare x60 power supply. Given that they are both rated 20v, 65w and have similar plug polarity configuration, are they compatible? The thing to note is that they do not have similar fru number. The following are the FRUs that I have. Hope to hear your thoughts on this.
x60 power supply = 92P1153
x230i power supply = 45N0322
X60 1706-BQ6, T7200, 4GB DDR2, 320GB hdd, 12.1" XGA, Intel WiFi Card, 8 Cell, X6 Multiburner with Lightscribe

They are identical.
You can also use the 90W/20V version, which charges a little bit faster.
It's also a little bit bigger/heavier.

You can even use the 135W adapters that are supplied with (for example) the Quadcore Thinkpad T530

They have more stuff that's basicly the same with multiple FRU's.

Hi guys,

Thanks you for the information.

Just saw this url,

Given that it is official lenovo words, should be good and not void any warranty if any mishap!
