SSD HDD error on X201

Just received a new Samsung 65G microSSD for my X201 . . . and it doesn't work. Tried it in my T410 . . . same problem. "ERROR 2100: HDD0 (Hard Disk Drive) initialization error (3)". When I start it up the hard drive light is lit, but it's frozen there for over a minute. Then it defaults to a boot screen. Is there some sort of HDD utility I could run on a stick or CD to troubleshoot/initialize/format this SSD? Or is it just a bad disk? Didn't have this problem on my previous SSD. . ..

Boy you are pretty unlucky with replacement parts. First a battery issue and now this. I'd look at some Linux live CD utilities and see if you can secure erase the SSD. Otherwise it could be a defective SSD.

Can you provide a link to the Samsung part you are working with? I googled and couldn't find it. Is it a microSATA or Msata or?
