I'm finding that the internal WIFi is battling with the ALFA usb WIFI. I'm using Ubuntu. As I only wish to use the external WIFI would it be possible to completely remove the internal card? Would that create any problems?
Thanks.
X201s WIFI - remove internal card and use external USB
Re: X201s WIFI - remove internal card and use external USB
That would work but an easier way is to disable the WiFi in the BIOS setup.
Press F1 at boot & select: Security > I/O Port Access and set Wireless LAN to Disabled.
Press F1 at boot & select: Security > I/O Port Access and set Wireless LAN to Disabled.
