AFFS + X200

Hey, I've been planning to get the AFFS upgrade for my x200. I've been looking at a few vendors - there probably aren't that many, so I assume that you would have advise on which one to pick.
I've been looking at the following Samsung LTN121AP02-001 screens:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-A-Samsung-1 ... 20c6794dfb
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-1-LCD-Screen ... 3367afd2a7
Now the latter one would be a lot cheaper for me, but is it certainly an AFFS screen? The description fails to mention that. The feedback is positive though, should I pick that one or go for the little more expensive and seemingly safer former link? Should I look at Boehydis screens instead, I've got the impression that they are somewhat better?

I believe the Samsung LCD you've linked is a PVA LCD, not the Hydis AFFS that most used to upgrade the LCD on the X200, though I believe it is a drop in replacement on the X200 like the Hydis. There's a relevant link
here.
The Hydis AFFS LCD model number is HV121WX4 if that's what you're after. The 100 and 110 are glossy, and the 120 is matte. Being that it's tablet screen, you can buy it with or without the touch surface and digitizer, though it's usually more expensive without it. Having done it myself, I'd recommend getting it without if you can swing it. Removing the touch surface is a bit of pain and there's the potential to damage the screen.
Other than that, the screen is gorgeous. If you've got a LED LCD in your X200, you'll need to replace the LED sub card and cable with the cable and inverter from a CFFL X200.

Huh, I thought the Samsung screen was the same thing as the Boehydis screen, I see it recommended here pretty often.

No shipping costs, this seems like a pretty good deal for a matte AFFS "Boe" screen, would anyone recommend buying it? Sure its not legit Boehydis, should i stay away from replicas?
Also, the inverter is emitting coil whine when i lower screen brightness with my current screen, would the problem worsen with the replacement LCD? Does the replacement LCD draw more or less power from the inverter as compared to the standard CCFL screen?
Additionally, should I attempt varnishing the inverter coil to reduce coil whine?

That's not a replica, it's just another AFFS panel, who actually should work without problems.
I have the BOE Hydis in mine, but the Samsungs are know in the German Wiki for being an option as well, see the link (German only)

Anyone owning either of the panels, would you say that you notice coil whine? I wonder if coil whine might become more of an issue if i changed the screen to one with different power draw (greater, i assume)
Found an even nicer deal for the Samsung panel:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-1-LCD-Screen ... 35b20c9d36
Fails to mention whether the screen is glossy or matte, though.

The Samsung is matte.
And my modded X200 doesn't whine.

So, i just ordered a new replacement inverter board for my display - i tried to varnish the coil on the old one but it did not decrease the whine at all, unfortunately. The does it matter which model number inverter i buy, as long as its the CCFL board? Already ordered 42W8009 without checking what i might be having. Not very smart, but it just cost 10 euros so I didn't really think before purchasing it.

There are two FRU's listed in the HMM for CCFL screens: 42W8009 & 42W8010, so the one you bought is ok.
