Keyboard issue

#1 Post by ThinkGreen » Fri Apr 18, 2014 6:10 am

Has anyone experienced some keys becoming pasty and difficult to type ?

In some case it is sufficient remove and replace the key but I don't know why this is happening quite frequently.

Things that get stuck under the keys and/or spilled sticky liquids are the common reasons.

I ensure that under keys is not entered nothing apart a little of dust.
I'm rather careful in keeping keybord clean.

The key mechanism is only made of 2 small plastic parts.
You live in a (very nice) part of Italy where the sun can be quite hot.
If you leave your machine (opened) in the sun for longer periods of time, those plastic parts can warp just a fraction.
And of course another cause might be age, or it's a low-quality Chicony keyboard...

The only thing i can imagine is the low-quality... I never use the notebook outdoor and it's very unfrequently i leave it opened. ;)
