Yes, I have X200s, or so the label on the lid says (though, as you told me, it could as well be exchanged)
The model is 7470-A22, according to the information on the bottom. (I updated my signature, as it was wrong)
CPU, accurding to Linux's /proc/cpuinfo, which shouldn't lie, is
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU L9400 @ 1.86GHz
That sounds fair for X200s.
I got it from a local used ThinkPad dealer.
Mine, too, has LED backlighting, or so the dealer said, but I thought all X200
s should have?
At first I thought that extended battery stops the lid from fully opening, but I have a small one, too, and I checked. It's clear that with the hinges the way they are, the lid presses against the base and that prevents it from opening further. Honestly, I thought that's a compromise that designers of X200
s have to take, to make it slimmer.
Here it is, fully opened:
NB: the keyboard is a European one, with a large L-shaped "Enter" key, the way I like it. A Finnish one, actually, with Russian stickers attached. It is a keyboard from my previous X200 which I exchanged for this one, but asked the dealer to let me keep my old keyboard. The laptop itself is, supposedly, from the US.

Now, my main hypothesis is that it is a X200s with a lid containing a CCFL screen (maybe
that's why I'm not quite a fan of it?). Maybe my dealer swapped it, maybe someone whom he bought it from. CCFL lid is not quite meant for this particular model, being slightly thicker, and thus doesn't fully open. Does it sound plausible?
Just to clarify, you don't think the screens have gotten better between X200 and X201, do you? Are there other screen options besides the resolution?
