If any have it, it's part of a WWAN module.

Thanks for the info. Does any WWAN module feature GPS?
I'm interested in the GSM modules.

Ericsson 3507g card is 3g/hsdpa + gps module for x200, t400, t500 and many other thinkpads. You can buy used wwan card on ebay for 10-15$.

As far as I know you then also need a SIMcard slot in your Thinkpad. My non-WWAN W520 has that, but on T61 the SIMcard slot was a separate "item".
This of any use:

I don't know about the internal GPS. Doesn't the laptop have to be "in the clear" for the GPS to receive the signal?
I've used Bluetooth GPS receivers wireless from the laptop, "in the clear" while the laptop was inside my rental car, or inside my cruise ship cabin with the receiver on the balconey. The Bluetooth receivers I've used have been less that $30.00 and have worked with Street Atlas and MS Streets & Trips.
I have two Bluetooth GPS receivers I'll send to anyone [US ZIP] for the cost of mailing. Both were working when I last used them. BTW, my current receiver works just fine and it cost $16.00.

Mwah, depends. I can always get a GPS fix in a car. Often inside buildings too. That's with my phone though. No clue about Thinkpad GPS.
