#1 Post by Amipdutz » Thu Jun 12, 2014 10:01 pm

Hi All,

I have question regarding my X201i.
In few months ago. I have business trip for about 4months.
DUring this time, my X201i is left in my cupboard for long time.
When I arrive, I try to logon to my X201i, but I found it hard to turn on.
And I assume, the X201i is totally died. I'm not sure why this happened.

Can you all please share, what usually cause the X201i totally died?
Is it possible to replace X201i motherboard with X200 motherboard?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Rgeards,
Miftah

Welcome to the forum.
Remove the battery and the charger.
Press on the Power button and keep it pressed down for ca. 20 seconds.
Connect only the charger and try to boot.
If that works, switch off, insert the battery and try to boot.
If now it won't start, you have a dead battery.

You can put an X200 mobo in it, but X200 does NOT have a touchpad option!
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
