x200 tablet hardware failure

#1 Post by kevin12331 » Thu Jul 03, 2014 5:44 pm

Hi everyone, hoefuly you can help diagnose the problem I'm having with my x200 tablet:

I was using the tablet one night when suddenly the screen went black and died.
This is the information I have:
-I restarted, the screen doesn't come on. The computer turns on, battery led etc work. No beeps. No post.
-if I plug the VGA cable in the side I can get video on my TV. Leading me to believe the video card is working.
-So I decided to buy another video cable for the LCD.
I replaced the video cable in the lcd and now not only does the screen still not work, but when i turn it on I get 2 short beeps.

Thanks for any help you provide.

In case you have not yet taken a look at the following:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnos ... D=HT004232

The only things to try are to disconnect/reconnect/"re-seat" everything that can be disconnected, including memory, and see if you can attribute the issue to a bad connection. Otherwise ... well, just try that first, although I suspect you have tried it several times already.

Good luck!
