X220 - 9-cell battery wobbly

#1 Post by peraklo » Mon Jul 28, 2014 4:40 am

I know this is a known problem (My old T61 even suffered from it), but i was wondering if anyone found an elegant and invisible solution to this problem? I hate it when some part of a device of this price range feels "cheap"...

A few small pieces of thicker paper will do the trick.

For what it's worth, the same is true of my X230.

I remember reading somewhere that they did it on purpose for "thermal expansion" ala the old "it's not a defect it's a feature" logic employed with the T60(?) arched lid.

It really doesn't bother me, but I'll try the paper thing.
