X200s and Vista Business

#1 Post by PandorasThinkpad » Fri Aug 15, 2014 3:36 pm

Hey there!

I've installed this Vista on this machine, because there had been an COA and why not to use it.....the installation worked fine, but i am not able to get hotkey and osd working, also there is no energy manager, so that the accu in percent will be shown in the task list...and so that i would be able to get information of the accu and so on.

So who has had this problems, too, so that he or she would be able to give me an hint, which software/ drivers i would need to get this working.

I have used gtku09ww for the Power Management and 8jvu42ww for Hotkey. But there is no osd and with the power management there is no accu symbol on the task list and no way of information, even such as there will be with the energy manager under win7.

I also have used the win7 driver guu403ww for the energy manager, but this hasn't really worked under win vista.

What i would like to realize under Vista Business 64Bit on my X200s is:

In which way will i be able to get this under vista working?

Thanx a lot for any help.

Sincerly,

Pandora

No reason to struggle with Vista issues when Windows 7 Pro runs flawlessly on the X200s ... but perhaps you have your reasons ...

Good luck!

Looks like you've done everything right. These things should work on Vista. I'll check my wife's X61 later to see which versions are running there.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U

We're using Power Manager 6.64.2 on that X61 running Vista, so I assume the latest version should also work fine. What problem exactly are you having with it?
