X220 - non ULV fan into ULV model

Hello,

does anybody know, if it is possible to install non ULV fan (two exhaust vents) into ULV model? I am quite interested in this idea. I would say, that bigger fan would be more than strong enough to keep my X220 passive cooled in common internet surfing, watching non FHD movies and so on (or with running fan on it's lowest rotates). Would BIOS accept this fan? Won't there be any problems with the "ULV" motheboard?

Please, excuse me my bad english.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe this thread can provide some insight:

This post in particular, where the guy did the reverse: put a ULV cooler into a non-ULV X220:
The ulv cooler has a five pin connector to the motherboard where the non-ulv cooler only uses four pins. The fifth pin of the ulv cooler is not used. A scissor did the job more than fine.
This proves that the two are compatible.
