x201 tablet screen replacement: direct bonding difference

I would like to replace my existing 13N7278 (HX121WX1-111) 200 nits screen by a 400 nits.

Problem is my screen is behind some kind of transparent plastic that extends on the side, called a "protection plate", while the outdoor screen is just surrounded by a black frame, called "direct bonding"

Here's a picture of my screen:

I suppose this screen is glued to the protective front.

After checking the maintenance manual, they are quite different - use different parts, etc. If I want to do a full swap, I may need at least a different front bezel, and some specific side brackets 60Y4165 as for some reason they are listed specificaly for "direct bonding".

On http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/migr-71453 you can see the difference and the parts list.

Any suggestion on the best way to proceed? My ideas so far:
- try to separate my current screen front the protective front (might be destructive)
- try to only buy a replacement front and some non-60Y4165 lcd side brackets hoping the difference won't be too important (since the 60Y4165 are impossible to find)

I will also have to peel off the wacom from the back, but that's another story. Apparently it is possible to do that without hurting the wacom.

Thanks for any help
