X220 moving my mouse causes buttons to be activated.

#1 Post by rondi » Fri Mar 06, 2015 10:09 pm

My X220, W7 Pro with a Logictech M305 wireless mouse acts like I'm somehow swiping the screen of a tablet. As I move the cursor across the screen, it's like while the cursor is over a button, or some other action, it activates it. I am not pressing any of the mouse buttons, nor am I passing over the keyboard/touchpad buttons.

I've used the same mouse on an HP laptop for years with no problems. I've looked thru both the Control Panel settings for the Mouse and the touch pad and find nothing unusual.

Any help would be appreciated,
Ron

It sounds like some setting of "click when hovering over" is activated. It can be in the Windows mouse settings, but also in the Logitech software, if you have that installed.
