x200s BIOS and batteries

Which BIOS do you recommend for x200s with 1440 screen? Is it true that BIOS 3.17 and later prevent you from using not original batteries? Are there any modified BIOSES? Are there any differences between BIOSes regarding power consumption?
My current BIOS options are:
Original 3.16 (if battery thing is true)
Original 3.22 (latest working)
Libreboot (planning this one but most likely I will use it on x200 not x200s)
Coreboot (does this even work on x200s?)
Cheers

I have x201 with the original bios. Bought a non-oem battery from ebay and have not had any issues.
if bios and battery thing was true, then I doubt you would have ebay sellers with tons of favorable feedbacks selling x200s battery.

X200 and X200s use the same BIOS.
If you find a modded BIOS (latest is v3.22-1.07 with whitelist removed and/or Slic added), be aware that there are two BIOS versions, those starting with 6Dxxxx and those with 7Xxxxx.
You'll need to install the original Lenovo-BIOS first, before you install a modded BIOS (both must be the same version).

What about battery? Is it true that 3.17 and higher BIOSes do not accept not original batteries? Did 3.22 modified BIOS removed this limitation?

Not sure about non-OEM batteries, but BIOS 3.22 had this change:
- Embedded Controller update will modify battery charge algorithms to balance
battery charging and lifespan.
They had an X200 battery recall a few years ago.
In general, people on this forum do not like knock-off batteries.
