Hello everybody,

I have a problem with my x200s and sound output.

When I connect 3,5 jack, sound works, but when I disconnect it and I would like to hear sound from speakers it does not work :/ .

What I tried:
1) update audio driver (download the driver from Lenovo http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/migr-73721)
2) uninstall Conexant 20561 SmartAudio HD device, disable automatic update of drivers and "push" this driver to device
3) update drivers from System update
4) tryied to find drivers on Windows Update
5) tryied to use newer version of drivers from Vista

BUT - if I choose Multi stream in SmartAudio and select speakers as default, sound from speakers works, but if I plug in headphones, the headphones does not works and I must select as defaul device this headphones.
But this is really impractical and it is not solution for it.

Next problem is, that I have only one of restore point and the lastest restore point of system is after this happeded.
It is reason, why I cannot try use Restore point of system.

Could someone help me please? :)

Of course, yes, I can reinstall the system, but it is the last thing what I want to do :D .

Thanks to all.

Lukas.

sometimes, the button that detect whether a headset is connected or not get stuck, this 'button' should be inside the headset socket.

This may or may not apply to the laptop in question, but i heard of this happening to other laptop.

hhhd1 - thank you for your reply.

You think some thing from headphones can be stucked inside notebook connector or inside notebook connector can be something broken?

Well, it's happened in other Thinkpad models (I remember one thread about similar issues in the T6x section), and it's within the realm of possibility.

Turned out there was a foreign object in the 3.5mm audio jack. IIRC he used needlepoint tweezers to pull it out.

Thank you. I will try to find if in jack is something what shouldn't be in. Thank you :) .
I will let you know :) .

If there is no debris in the headphone port, the I would suggest rapidly plugging and unplugging a headphone jack 30 times. This will hopefully unstick the headphone detection switch.

Good luck.

Hi to all,

finally, it was not something in jack or something like that.
I try to do something with drivers and finally, after x installation and uninstallation and trying xy drivers I got the best and correctly function with Realtek drivers.
Do not know how, but SmartAudio HD is not installed and everything works correctly.

We can close this thread :)

Regards and thanks to all :) ,
