X220 and OpenGL

I made the mistake of assuming Roon Labs audio software would run with my T500 and attached touchscreen (purchased with Roon in mind) . It won't, as it requires minimum of OpenGL 3.0. I believe that the X220 meets this requirement but before investing in an X220 it seems prudent this time to verify. Yes to 3.0? Thanks.

Which driver are you using?
EDIT: Ivy Bridge is OpenGL 4.0

What's the graphics chip of your T500? T500's can have either Intel GMA X4500MHD or ATI (now AMD) Radeon HD 3650. I know the HD3650's hardware supports OpenGL 3, not so sure about the X4500.
What OS are you using? This is important because AFAIK neither Intel nor AMD have made Win 10-specific drivers for these old GPUs. If you are indeed using Win 10, the default Microsoft graphics driver only supports OpenGL 1.1.
This means you'll have to try if the Win 7/8 drivers of your GPU will work on Win 10.

Yep, Windows 10, Intel.

If this
http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5838 is to be believed, the Intel GMA X4500MHD only supports OpenGL 2.1 in Windows.
The same page states that the Intel HD 3000 (found in the X220) supports OpenGL 3.1 in Windows. but Intel does not provide a native Win10 driver for it. I don't know if its Win 7 driver works on Win 10, or if its OpenGL 3.1 support is working.

Discussion here suggests that manual install of driver downloaded from Intel (but not the update utility) works for some builds at least. Not what I'd call definitive though.

There's one thread about officially supported Lenovo machines:

Looks like a good starting point in choosing a Win10-capable Thinkpad.

That's great to hear, thanks for checking. Should have my machine in a day or two.
