x201s power consumption oddities

My x201s is consuming around 5-7W idle in windows7 with wifi off but when I switch to linux I get around 9-10W consumption there. I've tried every tip and trick but it did not help much and I am using xfce just because it's lighter. The oddity is when I turn wifi on consumption goes to around 7-8W which seems close to windows values. Did anyone else ever had such problem?
