Windows 7 Driver Install on fresh Thinkpad X200: Windows Update or manual installation?

Hello,
I just installed a fresh Windows 7 OEM on one of my Thinkpad X200 partitions.
To install the drivers, should I just fire up Windows Update, or should I use a driver matrix from Lenovo and install manually?
Back in the IBM days, around 10 years ago or so, there was this Software Installer program that would install drivers and applications automatically on your IBM Thinkpad, but from what I can see Lenovo hasn't had that in a while.
Thanks!

Lenovo has an utility by the name of System Update which was derived out of the old IBM one. You're definitely better off with their drivers than you'd be with the ones from WU.
Personally, I install the very few basic and most-needed drivers/utilities and call it a day, but it's your system to play with.

Thank you, ajkula66. I didn't know System Update existed, as I figured the old IBM program didn't have a successor.
I think I will follow the process you say, and just install the drivers I downloaded the first time. I put everything into a directory and wrote some instructions, so I might as well use them and not be lazy.
BTW, it's nice to see that you are still here. I remember you from around 10 years ago, when I bought my first Thinkpad.
EDIT: I see you joined in 2007, so it's just a little more recent than that.
Thanks again.

+1 to the system update method that akjula mentioned. When that tool works right (which it does for most computers), it's refreshingly convenient. It almost feels like cheating
