x200s with an x201 motherboard

I understand that it's possible to transplant an x201 mobo into an x200. However, I've never seen confirmation that an x200s could also receive the transplant.
I've heard concerns that the x200s chassis is different than the x200 and may prevent the mobo from fitting. Has anyone successfully done this?

Additionally, I've heard that you must use the x201 palm rest because the fingerprint reader connector is different between the models.
Does this mean that if
  • your x200(s) lacks a fingerprint reader or
  • you don't care if your fingerprint reader is inoperable
that the palm rest replacement is not a requirement?

Thanks, guys!

I haven't handled any X200 series laptop, but I suspect that one your problems will be the X201 heatsink being too tall/thick for the X200s chassis.
