I've been out of the forums for a LONG while .. just got myself a good used X220 to replace my old T60 and want to replace the panel. Can someone knowledgeable please help with finding the correct replacement IPS panel? Is there a difference between part numbers 04W3462 and 04W3919? Is there a trust worthy ebay seller for these panels that people on the forum have bought from?

Thanks! These panels are more expensive on ebay and now I know why.

I've found results to vary. Had a newer revision one which did exhibit ghosting, it just took a little longer. Many cheap IPS panels will do that, and even some high end ones.

Thanks. I have asked specific details on a couple items from the auction site. I have a T60 with 1400x1050 IPS panel that I bought back in 2006 (!) and it's still working great. I needed a smaller (and faster) secondary laptop and got myself a used X220 at a good price. It has good specs except for the TN panel that I cannot stand, so trying to find an IPS replacement. Apart from good prices these days, I chose this model specifically for the old styling, old style keyboard + possibility of having a IPS panel. Hoping to find a good screen and use it for years to come.

Based on the recommendation here, I've ordered a new (SL)(T2) panel .. I'll post an update when I recieve an install it. Seller looks legit and seems to have the actual IPS panel (got a photo with the label).

I normally avoid "compatible" panels but let's see what you report. I have an X220 that needs screen replacement.

So far my experience with the LP125WH2(SL)(B1) and LP125WH2(SL)(B3) is good, but I'm always afraid they will develop the ghosting effect as they get older...

Never heard about this (SL)(T2) panel. Looking forward to hear about the real experience from the forum member.
I got two X220 with the (SL)(B3) panel installed. And there's no ghosting issue. However it was when I used (SL)(B1) model.

I had an X220 with the original (SL)(B1) panel which developed ghosting. Lenovo replaced it with (SL)(B3) - no questions asked, under warranty. I had been told that FRU 04W3919, LG LP125WH2-SLB3 is the latest and best version and that is what Lenovo installed under my warranty. Now a year later (roughly), I still don't have ghosting and I use this laptop all day every day. There are other threads on this topic.

Update: The SL T2 panel is excellent. As good as the one i remember from my T60. Installation took all of 10mins.

Very nice, now I have to start lurking for another broken X220

Yes, same mount placements. Very painless installation. I think this X220 is a great update for me from my T60. Need to find a SSD, longer capacity battery and a dock, and I'll be set for the next few years.

What is the difference between LP125WH2(SL)(T2) and LP125WH2(SL)(B3)? I have an x230 IPS and my screen is malfunctioning, so I'd like to replace it with the best screen available.
