I really need 8gb in my x201 tablet 311-b72.

I would like to ask you which moudles I need to buy to get it working.

I have M471B5173QH0-YKO from samsung which not works properly :/

I've found that Thinkpads are not that picky with RAM. In your case most any DDR3 SODIMM will work so long as it's not DDR3L. DDR3L is what you listed as you have and tried. If in doubt download the MM and get a part number from there.

Most any name brand non L DDR3 SODIMM should work. You have it already? Try it.

That samsung memory module is 1Rx8 and DDR3L-1600 also contains limited slower timing is what failed in your case.

Search around for 4GB 2Rx8 DDR3-1333, preferably made by micron, crucial (by micron), Hynix, samsung and elpida, second choice kingston, mushkin. This is an module with 16 chips module. Insure this is not a 1.35V (DDR3L), the DDR3 is 1.5V which is needed.

Corsair is just an expensive cheap-chip-assembler, stay away.

Totally agree.

He should look for 2R*8 RAMs. Brand doesn't matter, and from my experience DDR3 or DDR3L doesn't matter either as long as it's 2R*8
