x220t active protection on non-os hdd

After installing an msata ssd as my OS drive, I'm curious if the active protection system will still park the head of the now-non-os hdd.

This document would seem to suggest no: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht003517

However, that document is old, and it also assumes the non-os drive would be external or in an ultrabay. It does not specifically address a non-os hdd in the primary hdd bay (since this article was clearly before msata ssd's were a thing).

Active protection should be uninstalled if you use an SSD.

So there's no way to protect the HDD?

Lenovo APS ignores SSDs completely and works for both main and ultrabay HDD drives. You should be able to mix HDDs and SSDs in main/ultrabay without issue.

Ah, good to know. I'll go ahead and install it then.
