X200 Samsung PVA CCFL Panel - Does it exist?

Apparently Samsung manufacturered a drop in panel for the X200, Part No: LTN121AP02 FRU: 42T0563...

I've searched but I can't seem to find any genuine ones for sale (only substitutes without any photos or part numbers). If not online, does anyone know where I might source one from? Were they available in X200 Tablets?

I have my heart on this specific panel. I use a PVA monitor at home (NEC) and prefer it to IPS. I also prefer CCFL over LED because of the dreaded blue spike.

Thanks in advance

That screen is for/from an X200T/X201T but is not even mentioned in the HMM...
Other than through questionable Alibaba and Aliexpress sources, they seem to be non-existent...

Thanks RBS... Saw those links - good btw. Looks like that panel did actually exist from this datasheet: http://www.jxlcd.com/Upload/PicFiles/LTN121AP02-001.pdf, not sure why it wasn't mentioned in the HMM.

Well hopefully one turns up... that was my main reason for pulling the trigger on a X200.

I've got the additional problem of needing to replace the cable/inverter as I have a LED model - hopefully it's not a headache... otherwise this might be going on ebay.

As a travel-machine, an X200s with LED WXGA+ (1440x900) is still hard to beat.
With a 9-cell (Panasonic of course) battery I get sometimes up to 8 hours for web-browsing.

Yes definitely looks good by spec... However, I am deliberately avoiding LED backlights...

I would consider anything with a CCFL IPS or VA panel, 1.6kg or less would be good, and minus toasty palmrests... this will replace my X60T for travel duties. Not sure what else would fit the bill other than a X200?

The Hydis HV121WX4 that's a drop in replacement on the X200 is a CFFL LCD. The X220/X230 might be worth a look, depending on the particulars. It's got a factory IPS screen, though it's an LED screen and 1368x768 resolution. The Sandy Bridge CPU in the X220 was a game changer in terms of the performance to battery life ratio.

Well, you could still use other AFFS panels that were popular for mods:

HV121WX5-100 (glossy)
HV121WX4-110 (glossy)
HV121WX4-120 (matte)

I have an X200 and a X201 with the first panel of the list. It's an excellent screen and quite affordable (provided you don't mind glossy surfaces, and for the X201 you need an X200 LCD cable and inverter)

Great, thanks all... Looks like X200 or X201 is the one. I much prefer CCFL and 16:10 (and 4:3 of course...) so that pretty much rules the rest out.
