x301 wont boot. indicator on, blank screen, and powers off

Hello guys!
My trusty x301 that I was working towards futureproofing it seems to have motherboard failure, according to the HMM.
Can anyone suggest something I can try?

Take battery out and remove charger.
Take out CD-drive and RAM.
Then press and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds.
Connect only the charger and try to boot.
Does it beep 1-3-3-1?
If so, disconnect, insert 1 RAM, reconnect and try booting again.
If OK, repeat but with the same RAM in the other slot.
If OK, repeat the last two actions with the other RAM module.
If still OK, disconnect, put in both RAMs and reboot.
If still OK, power off, insert CD-drive, reboot.
If still OK, power off, insert battery, reboot with and without charger.
Probably NOK.

Unfortunately after above, it does not beep
It is silent and only the indicator lights turn on. Here is a video clip:

I tried with VGA cable connected but there is no display. would this mean that the board is dead?

Also take out the HD/SSD and wifi/WWAN cards before you start.
It may not be totally dead yet...

Still nothing... is there anything I can try? T_T
Seriously, all I did was to close the lid...
I ordered another used x301 today to figure out in comparison, which part is wrong. Still, would love to fix this baby..
