Hello guys,
My battery is currently only about 50~60%. I am considering replacing the battery and adding a second-bay battery as well.
How long does your x301 last? with what OS?
I wish x301 would last half of what todays' t450s lasts...

10Wh will give you almost 1 hour. A new battery would realistically provide 3 to 4 hours. This can be extended by a further 2 hours with the bay battery, bringing the total up to 6 hours. Windows and Linux are pretty similar, although a light Debian may be slightly better in terms of power consumption from what I have heard. Personally, I use Ubuntu.

Even brand new they didnt have good battery life.
I suspect that genuine batteries are hard to find, Ultrabay batteries impossible to find.

Yes the X301 although thin and light doesn't offer the greatest battery life. I use mine basically solely off AC and on the rare times I run off the battery it is only for an hour or so.
I normally charge mine between thresholds of 40 to 60 % but as I remember the battery only lasted between 2 to 3 hours on a full charge depending on what I am doing obviously. I am running Windows 7 and I don't use a WWAN card.
There was a recent post about purchasing X301 batteries but as it has been stated they are not cheap.
It doesn't really affect my enjoyment of the X301 but I will eventually source a new battery.

A new genuine X301 battery costs 50$ on ebay. A new genuine bay battery costs 70$.
