X220 Displayport audio not working on Windows 7, but works on Linux

I have an X220 dual-booting Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and Debian 8 64-bit.
I have an LCD TV connected using a Displayport to DVI-D adapter, a DVI-D to HDMI adapter, and an HDMI cable.
For some reason, audio cannot be routed to the TV when under Windows, while it works with no issues on Linux.
I'm using the 83d640ww graphics driver from Lenovo's website.
I also use the default HDA audio driver from Microsoft. I thought that it was the cause of the issue, but even after installing the 8aad14ww audio driver, audio through the Displayport still won't work.
I notice that when I'm running Windows, the TV detects the video signal as DVI, while on Linux it's HDMI.
Any ideas? Is there a specific graphics driver version with working audio support? A configuration setting buried somewhere?
