[Important] Security fix addresses LEN-8324 System Management Mode (SMM) BIOS Vulnerability.
(Note) If the UEFI BIOS has been updated to version 1.43 or higher, it is no longer able to roll back to the version before 1.43 for security improvement.
(Fix) Fixed an issue where the brightness control might not work on Windows XP.

I've updated to the modded version of 1.43, obtained from bios-mods (google for: x220 ValdikSS 1.43).
No visible changes or problems so far.
