X200 Tablet Battery

I know this has been discussed many times, but I am, as usual, still confused. I have more than one X200T's, but less batteries than machines. I have been providing machines for friends and family.

Looking on ebay in the UK, I see at least 2 suppliers advertising 3rd party batteries. One is advertising 8-cell versions, the other 6-cell versions with higher capacity and lower price. Both seem to be in the larger casings that overhang the back of the machine.

Has anyone any experience of either type? I've also wondered whether it might be simple to buy a non-tablet X200 battery for about half the price and transfer the cells to the tablet battery casing.

As an aside, I've been looking at getting the machines with (resistive) touch working with pen and touch in Windows 10. I've got to the stage where touch works and sees desktop icons, but doesn't see the start menu big square icons.

Just a quick follow up to say that I bought the cheapest battery I could find (6-cell, just under £25) on ebay and after just under a week have had no problems so far. It seems to last a long time and the battery meter suggests just under 6 hours.

On the question of touch screen operation, I've set up a machine with Windows 10, various diagnostics, and as many drivers as I can find, old and more recent. I hope to have time in the next month or two to look into and try to make sense of any of this.
If anyone knows of anywhere to look for a description of or code relating to touch on normal desktop icons vs touch on "metro" square icons, I'd be very interested.
