Good day, lady's and gents. I'm new to this site and after fruitless searching for information by my self I decided to give this site a try.

I would like to try and make a eGPU that is connected directly to the docking station, I think this might be possible but I need to find out what is goes out from the laptop docking connector to the docking station. Datasheets and so on.

I would appreciate any help :)

IIRC we're not allowed to post links to schematics of Thinkpads, so that one you have to find for yourself. That being said, I don't think PCIe signals are routed through the Docking Connector.

As for an eGPU build, it's better to use the Expresscard slot.

Thank you for a fast answer.
Not being able to share data limits the progress some what, if there is no PCI output on the docking port it would make very hard to make this work.
Ps I do have a standard eGPU setup from the eexpresscard reader.

Not sure what adapter you are thinking of, but the eGPU that I use is "eGPU EXP GDC Beast"
