I have several devices on my home network and all have internet - some wired and some wireless - both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. They all work.
I now have Windows 10 on my X220 that has worked fine on any of the three connections network connections for some time.
Today, I turned it on and while the WiFi connected at both frequencies, I get "no interent." I tried a cable and the same thing. I did all the obvious things, reboot, disable then reboot, ran the diagnostics twice. Still nothing.
Since this just occurred out of the blue, it could be a hardware issue. Any ideas? Thank for any help.
X220 - Both WiFi and Cable Internet stopped. It connects but no Internet.

It's unlikely to be a hardware issue. Just to be completely certain, I'd boot a "live" Linux CD/DVD/USB and check how the system behaves in that environment.jgrobertson7 wrote:

Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. But I opened it up and reseated the WiFi chip and now it works. Sometimes those contacts, despite being gold, will need to be exercised a bit. Fortunately that worked.

I'm glad that your machine is up and running, but how does re-seating the wireless card relate to the wired LAN previously not working?jgrobertson7 wrote:Thanks for the tip.
