Any X220 or X230 user with Panasonic battery?

Hi,

I'd like to ask, whether is here still anyone using X220/X230 with a Panasonic cells in his battery? I bought a new battery, FRU 45N1175, which had to be Panasonic, and it's just a f***ing Sanyo instead. I would like to ask, if any owner could take a picture of the battery label? My battery has a "Tocad electronics (Shanzen)" printed on the label, I believed, that it will be a Panasonic one... :(

Thanks

Panasonic owns Sanyo, so the cell brand may match either name.

Thank you for that information. However, Panasonic batteries always used to show "Panasonic" instead of "Sanyo" in Power Manager. Sanyo even has different FRU as well (45N1027 for Sanyo, 45N1175 for Panasonic). Do you think, that it might still be an "affect of overall rebranding process" or so? Thanks for your opinion!

I have a Sanyo and and an LGC for my X220. I am not 100% certain there exist Panasonic FRUs for this generation. However, the T430s battery I have is Panasonic-branded, so the brand itself definitely still exists in batteries.

I haven't found any such a list for a X220, but I had for a X230 instead. X220 batteries are no more in production, so searching for a previous model (29++ in this case) would be just a waste of time (it was replaced with 44++). The link can be found here: https://download.lenovo.com/parts/Think ... 130128.pdf
The information is simple:

45N1027 - SANYO9cell
45N1029 - LGC9cell (I think there is actually 45N1028 available too, it has LG Chem cells as well)
45N1175 - Panasonic9c

I am trying to sell mine, though. I think it's still better to get a LG Chem battery, than giving any chance to this "Panasonic" one (and throwing it away a year after as a dead s**t with just a half of former capacity left).
