Cheap and easy way to replace rubber stabilization tabs on X220 Tablet?
From what I've read, the only way to replace with authentic OEM tabs is to replace the entire surrounding plastic trim piece. Wondering if anyone has come up with a cheap/easy way to perhaps superglue in some rubber/plastic tabs that effectively do the same job.

You can use feet from any other laptop, cut down to size if and where needed, and glue them in with e.g. Gorilla glue.
Just make sure they are thick/high enough.
Or buy a set on eBay, looking for: Lenovo X220T feet.
X230T uses the same feet.

Are these the bits that are in a line above the keyboard?
They're very similar to the rubber tabs found on a lot of older HP laptop fascias to stop the screen touching the keyboard. I often keep these when dismantling/discarding old machines and I stick them around my work monitor. They come in handy.
Something like this,

Or if its handier, you can actually buy adhesive rubber pads in IKEA like this,

Just cut some strips of rubber off of an old bicycle tube and use double-sided tape to glue that to the bottom of the machine, on top or overtop of the foot outlines.

These are not "Genuine" as stated in the auction. The original part is integrated into the keyboard bezel by small rubber shafts and some sort of spring-loaded mechanism that attach to the bezel hold them in securely.ThorOfAsgard wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2017 7:44 pmThese look pretty much perfect: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281942530960
Just sold my X220, though.
The ones listed in the auction are just a rubber cut out, and for what they are, they are incredibly overpriced. As suggested you're better off cutting out a bit of rubber yourself and gluing it in.
