Hiya
I would like to do upgrade on processor in Lenovo Thinkpad x200s. It comes with Core2Duo L9400 and I would like to go for C2D Extreme slb48 3.06GHz. Will it work with that laptop or as far as I can go would be Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9600?
Thanks

Re: Lenovo Thinkpad x200s
The X2x0 series come with a soldered CPU.
Unless you have a rework-station there's no CPU swap possible, other than replacing the whole motherboard.

Re: Lenovo Thinkpad x200s
Assuming that you have a WXGA+ LCD in your X200s (I'm taking a guess here) you could transfer over the entire LCD assembly over to an X201 base (would allow you to re-use any existing X200s parts i.e. battery, keyboard & docking station) or alternatively you could purchase an X220/X230 to get the performance increase you need. Just a thought.
X200s (MTN: 7470-DH5)
WXGA+ LED LCD, L9400 CPU, 8GB RAM, 480GB SSD & 2TB HDD (via Ultrabase Docking Station)
