LVDS 13.3 FHD IPS screen 90% color gamut
LVDS 13.3 FHD IPS screen 90% color gamut
This Taobao seller (https://2.taobao.com/item.htm?id=555910282478) offers a modded X230 with a 13.3" FHD screen that uses the LVDS interface, apparently with 90% NTSC coverage. The panel must be this one: http://www.panelook.com/LQ133M1LW01_SHA ... 24644.html
It uses 2 lvds channels, whereas afaik the X230 only supports one, so some sort of modification must still be needed. I was thinking of ordering it, at least to look at how it's made, but then I noticed that the screen's power consumption is rated 17W!

Re: LVDS 13.3 FHD IPS screen 90% color gamut
Not possible on a x230. Auto translate on chrome got me "lvds crack", perhaps a patch to enable backlight control without screen mirroring. The MSATA3 mention points to this laptop that uses a LQ133M1JW11 probably confirmed by the w11 mention in the description.
Re: LVDS 13.3 FHD IPS screen 90% color gamut
I interpreted it as "lvds, crack white list", as the only screen with "99%" color gamut (90% actually) is the one I linked, and it's LVDS.boutch55555 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 3:54 pmNot possible on a x230. He used the DP port from the dock. converted to a dual ch LVDS. There might be some compatibility problem with the system when using multiple screens

Re: LVDS 13.3 FHD IPS screen 90% color gamut
But the LQ133M1LW01 has a 319.9 × 189.3 outline, there is absolutely no way it can fit a x220/x230...
I don't know why they would convert the DP from the dock to lvds since there are good edp panels already, but it's probably possible.
Also, the most recent Sharp panels (like the W11 I mentionned) aren't listed on panelook, so it's hard to get the specs or list available panels for those. They made a W02 of the panel you mentioned according to this pdf but it's still 310.6mm wide, won't fit.
