Can the X200/X201 output to an internal WUXGA panel?

Found those on panelook:

Luckily, not TN! But I can't tell if they'll work. Sourcing them is a different
question as well.. but I'm honestly curious.

Hijack the DP port like nitrocaster. Add some circuitry if it is LVDS and your good. Hope you have a degree in Electrical Engineering! :D
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Always pushing the boundaries those 51nb guys. I'll hold out for WUXGA though, for however many years it takes to get the Eng degree

Seems like it might be in the wings closer than we all expected:

A fresh forum on thinkpad-forum.de as of 2 or so weeks ago -

The colleagues in China have again a delicious display Mod: 12.2 "IPS WUXGA in the X201 (and X210).

The display obviously fits with some foam rubber as height compensation quite nicely in the X201 cover. It is semi-matt (haze), according to data sheet 800: 1 contrast, 280nits and 70% NTSC color space. The resolution of 1920x1200 is of course the hammer at 12.2 "....
