Can the X200/X201 output to an internal WUXGA panel?
Found those on panelook:

Luckily, not TN! But I can't tell if they'll work. Sourcing them is a different
question as well.. but I'm honestly curious.

Hijack the DP port like nitrocaster. Add some circuitry if it is LVDS and your good. Hope you have a degree in Electrical Engineering!
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

The colleagues in China have again a delicious display Mod: 12.2 "IPS WUXGA in the X201 (and X210).
The display obviously fits with some foam rubber as height compensation quite nicely in the X201 cover. It is semi-matt (haze), according to data sheet 800: 1 contrast, 280nits and 70% NTSC color space. The resolution of 1920x1200 is of course the hammer at 12.2 "....
